Vision Statement
Eversley School is a happy, safe and welcoming community where all are respected, encouraged and supported to reach their full potential and achieve personal excellence and fulfillment in all they do.
Aims of the School
- To provide a secure, caring, supportive, inspiring and stimulating environment in which all children feel safe and valued and are given opportunities to achieve their full potential and personal goals.
- To recognise that all children have needs which should be supported in a sensitive and caring manner by others promoting their physical, social and emotional well being.
- To provide a broad, balanced and creative curriculum through which children will develop knowledge, skills, understanding and an enthusiasm for learning and which meets the needs of all learners.
- To help each child develop an enquiring mind and be confident and secure in their own abilities, taking risks with their learning and pride in their achievements.
- To encourage independent, cooperative, collaborative and active learning, giving children opportunities to work in a variety of ways and encouraging them to take responsibility for their own learning and development.
- To develop and strengthen the partnership between home and school from the earliest opportunity and work in unison with parents, governors the LEA and other agencies in a climate of trust, mutual respect and cooperation.
- To promote high quality staff development and life long learning where all are encouraged and actively supported in their professional life.
- To develop good communication skills between all members of the school community encouraging all to take responsibility for and contribute positively to school and community life.
- To view the school as part of the wider community, developing links and playing an active role within that community and the wider global community.
